England’s Black Midi is a tough group to triangulate, particularly because the group gleefully embraces any permutation of a prog rock moniker. But unlike so much prog — with its restless yet cumberson history — Black makes its dense music rather enjoyable. So the title of its wonderful new album “Hellfire” isn’t a warning so much as an invitation.
