Since releasing “The Impossible Bird” more than 25 years ago, Nick Lowe — who’s power pop bona fides were more than secure — showed rockers a path for making music through their 60s and into their 70s that didn’t involve the sort of youthful posturing that looks silly on people of a certain vintage. He’s made several albums of sophisticated music since, though for his live shows he still brings out some bangers from when he was the Jesus of Cool. With Los Straightjackets as his backing band, he has all the firepower he needs.
